Aubrey Huff had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the indomitable SSB SSB Tar Heels topped
the Langley Farm Team by a score of 10 to 3 at the ballpark.
Huff led the offense for SSB. He lost the ball over the fence for three runs
(his 15th of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled knocking in a run in the
6th inning, laced a single in the 7th inning and delivered a one-base hit
resulting in a run in the 8th inning. Langley was out-hit by SSB, 14 hits to
8.
The win went to Dontrelle Willis(2-6) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Pedro Martinez(6-6) suffered the loss. He gave up 7 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings and saw his ERA jump from 2.99 to 3.33.
Huff was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball
real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying off.
That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'
